We’re not here to discuss definitions We’re to meet each other where we are in this moment
We’re here because we want to see a better world Humans are capable of great things Huge changes and shifts Diversity is strength Just ask an ecosystem I know we cha change We’re not that dumb
This is local Let’s reimagine space - and time You’re in your house and I’m in mine But we are neighbours We are community We are one
What does equity mean? What can we each have sovereignty? Not just shoes but shoes that fit out feet Power with, not power over Equity is contextual Equity means coming to terms with our history We need a shared reality Healing from our own species’ misunderstanding of ourselves We are one species Not a data-driven species But storytellers, dreamers We are emotional
We can’t control others, we can’t convince How can we pursue truth together and break down lies? Do we stay in a comfortable place?
Diversity is hiring indigenous interns Equity is indigenous board members Justice is…land back?
Are we ready? Are we ready for equity? Our hearts, our minds still too unkind Can we unwind the stories of past glories that constantly divide That judge, rank, discriminate That create conditions for fear and hate?
Technology is not going to solve for equity This is not going to be fixed by web3 It’s a challenge on the scale of humanity It’s a challenge so profound It’s almost too big to wrap your head around It’s fractal Maybe I can’t develop a new model or present a paper But one-to-one I can help my neighbour I can show up with equity Right where I’m supposed to be

The point of decentralization Is species self-actualization We’re all in this together, whether we like it or not Previous generations had LSD Today we have web3 To expand our minds For the benefit of humankind To show what might be possible If all people could coordinate on solving global problems
Let’s come together from our different planets We are not aliens, but siblings All together on this spaceship we call earth We are not separate We are the same species on the same earth, Spinning around the same sun We are all connected We are all one
